Well. It's finished!

See what new nursery rhyme perversions I'll have next time!

What i really love so much about this painting is the richness..I can almost imagine the stickyness of the honey..the smell of the bread. There is so much going on and all of it interesting. It brings to mind the paintings of British artists such as William Hogarth and Thomas Gainsborough who in the 1700's painted scenes with a sense of theatre..richly draped backgrounds, cluttered objects of wonder and daily usage, figures both common and nobel engaged in daily life or posturing. 'Eating Bread and Honey' is indeed a sumptuous feast Julie!!congratulations!
