The piece is finished. I've added the satin ballet slippers, the chair and music stand and flute since the last post. I hope you've enjoyed this decidedly "feminist fetishistic" piece. It was strange to work on, and I don't know if I would list it amongst my favorites. I was anxious to use the vintage medical accoutrements in a work, so I guess I've succeeded. My favorite part of this painting was doing the sepia nude in the Simms position. I was surprised that I could get that kind of modeling with three colors in such a tight space.
