In My Lady's Chamber

I worked on a trellis pattern for the carpet and another proxy for the woman-subject in the dressform with hoop skirt. I like the splayed nylon hose on the bed and the hairbrush. At first I didn't, but now I think it's okay. Certainly, this is a weirdly gendered painting, unlike any I've done before. And maybe unlike any I'll do again. What does it mean, a meditation of a woman with the woman left out?
