Boy from A Paper Moon

More progress with my painting. This time I used our new scanner/printer, so the resolution is better. I need to work on my young lady. I think I want her to look a bit younger.

I have said before that I like your art work, and I think you should put together a children's book, and print up a few copies and get feed back from friends and strangers if possible. You only need one good book to put you on your way as a children's book writer and artist. I spent hours reading children's books in the '70s to my children and I have seen the best. My wife bought a boat load of books. You have a style with your illustrations that is well suited for children's books. I hope you will give it a try.

I will consider it. I have submitted my work to an agent, in the hopes that I might illustrate someone else's writing. I also pester my husband regularly to write something for me, as I think he is a much better writer than I am, and has already had his short stories accepted by a small press.

Good! I am glad you are doing this! Hey do they still have those consignment shops where you can trade in your souls? 'Cause I might sell mine to have that painting when its done.
