Angela's Trinket Box

I decided to paint Angela's keepsake box with a country landscape of Ireland, because she likes Ireland, has visited there, and taken many beautiful photos there.
And then in the little country cottage beneath the knotted vines, roots and whatnot. I thought I would try to put a little portrait of Angela in there. She had this lovely photo taken in civil war era regalia for a calendar. She visits Gettysburg frequently and is a guest of the Tillie Pierce house, and just loves the history of the area. This is still very much a work in progress that will require more fine tuning.

wonderful settling and I like the surrounding trees, I'm always curious about what a artist choose depict, sometimes it's easy to decide what to use and sometimes it takes a lot of thinking

I really have nothing new to add to what has already been said. I have written to you many times that you have a nice style, and I still think it would work with children's books so well. You just need one good story and a little luck and I think you would be on your way to publishing many good children's books.
