April 9, 2010 Story Illustrations in Progress
Here is a brief synopsis of the story I am illustrating. I hope I am keeping my brushstrokes loose. I am working on a pretty small scale 6" x 6", but I am trying not to get too overwrought and fussy. I have a habit of oversmoothing things sometimes.

To me, she looks lovely. I didn't even notice the comb in the the one that wasn't done. It still amazes me the scale you work with.
I don't know how you do this at all. I would be tempted to paint them bigger and then photoshop them down for publication.
Well, I'm already very excited and drawn in. -Christy
It's the little details that always speak to me...the things on the table, the comb, and I ADORE the comb!!
Julie. Just speechless here.
Gorgeous painting, Julie!
