Rare 1960 Disney Book!

Yesterday I went down to the Presbyterian Church on the corner, we are on friendly terms with the pastor and the kids ride their bikes and scooters around their parking lot when it's empty. They were having their annual spring rummage sale! I love it. Last year I got a great basket for keeping my yarn in. This year the boys got some battery operated bubble blowers and I picked up a box of vintage books, cookbooks and kids books. It was seven dollars for the whole box, so I gave them ten. I hope they are using it for good and not stealing Haitian orphans or something

I brought my box home and found it was filled with 1958 excellent condition Good Housekeeping cooking pamphlets. Some of them I will keep, but some of them I will probably put on my etsy site. I've started to clean up my act. My book hoarding is out of control. If you go to my etsy site right now I have added a section to painfully divest myself of my holdings- including a 1897 hymnal in excellent over 100 year old condition! My Good Babushka.

Then I started to look through the children's books, some of which were in pretty sore shape. I began to look up my books online to see what I have here and amazingly, I have a pretty rare Walt Disney book! Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge and the Lemonade King, a 1960 Tip Top Tales and one of the only time Disney duck animator Carl Barks was credited with the illustrations. I have seen this book offered, starting at $40 and going all the way up to $700! I don't know how to rate my vintage book. I can say there are no marks inside, a tight for vintage binding, with a little wear at the top and bottom of the spine, more at the top than at the bottom.

I will give you a peek at it, but this little pretty will NOT be for sale. I think I'll keep it.
