A Child's Funeral

I began working on this a few weeks ago, but only recently got around to finishing it. The original is available at my etsy shop My Good Babushka. I will probably make some prints of this soon which we also be available from the same site.

Believe it or not, we have the National Funeral Home Museum in Houston. A very interesting place where they have old funeral wagons like that on display.

I'm excited to see the final painting. You did a really good job. I think with no leaves on the trees just adds to the sorrow of the little person's funeral.

Even the horses are dark and sad.

Such beautiful work, but such a dark, dark theme! It's haunting.
