Ruby Lace Shawl Laceweight Alpaca

I am knitting on the border. I've never done that before. It makes a nice elastic edge. I find that I can't remember the pattern at all, so my head is constantly turning to read the pattern. I hate that. I don't know if I'm going to knit any borders on in the future, but I'm glad I tried it.

You are one mutli-talented woman Julie. It's a really pretty stitch and I can see the border, it looks REALLY nice!

You're really talented. I know I keep saying that.....it almost seems unfair that so much talent be in you and none of it in me.......

Julie, i can't wait to see it finished! Your shawl is going to be so lovely! I am learning how to work a simple lace pattern...slowly....

I've never tried that with knitting, but I have croched borders around knitted items, and that worked really well. That shawl is beautiful!
