I decided to include some close up details so that you can get some idea of my style, which from a distance does evince a sort of realism, but when you get close up, you can see the brushwork. There are many great photo-realists, but I am not one of them. I enjoy paint and painting that looks like painting. I only wish I were less fastidious, at times, and more lively and courageous with a brush.

I like being able to see the brush strokes. To me, a painting should look like a painting.
