Skeleton Dance Embroidery

I've been researching hand hooked rugs and embroidered rugs, and I am having a little experiment with some canvas and embroidery floss. I am using a very dense, all over Turkish Knot stitch, which makes little loops all over. I want it to look like a little rug, kind of tufted. I am putting the stitches in sort of every which way because I think it looks fuller, and it's easier than trying to make the stitches all go one way.

Ooooh...I like that skeleton! Boogie on, Bones, boogie on! (Is there nothing you can't do?)

You're off to a good start. I look forward to seeing the finished product. I started a toothbrush rug a few years back, but like so many things it's never been completed. It's working it's way to the top of my latest "to do" list.

I like the impressionistic, irregular fullness of this flossy art.
