Noodling around, changing the faces, getting them pegged down. I think it's a bit of a challenge to paint familiar faces because you have in your mind the way their faces have changed over time, and especially with a character like Ozzy Osbourne, the tendency is to exaggerate the features, the most identifiable ones. I remind myself to paint what I see, not what I know. That's something my high school art teacher told me, a most useful tip.
