I have made well-known my fondness for retro cookbook illustrations, but I also like photographs from vintage cookbooks. I think it's because we didn't have a lot of books in the house growing up so I often ended up browsing cookbooks. I like the textures and colors of food well presented. Here I am reproducing one of my favorites as a painting. This painting was inspired by the Good Housekeeping cooking pamphlet featuring vegetables.
