I've decided to go with a limited palette. It's limited but versatile: titanium white, mars black, burnt umber, burnt sienna, alizarin crimson, hookers green, yellow ochre, prussian or winsor blue, cadmium yellow medium. I don't think I used the cadmium yellow, though, so maybe I'll leave it off next time. I am trying to let things be defined more by light than by color. I hope that it is somewhat nostalgic, but not overly sentimental. I like the effect of coming and going out of focus.
