Best Dressed Girls

Here is a portrait from some of my own vintage photographs. Probably '68 or '69. My sisters dressed up in cardigans and skirts that my mother knitted by hand, holding little patent leather purses! I bet they were going to church with my grandmother because that is her cedar shingle house they are standing near. I'm going to guess this is an Easter picture. I was the happy recipient of both skirt and cardigan sets a decade later, as well as one of the patent leather purses.

I remember I was about to graduate from the same school, when I got to tell all my classmates I was a newly minted aunt! Where does the time go?
