Fixing a Vintage Sofa
I'm not going to show every tiny little step, since you already saw a lot when I did my chair. Also, I got my husband to help me pull staples, so disrobing the sofa went a lot faster. Here you can see the board across the bottom front is in sore need of repair. That side of the sofa was a little droopy and now we know why. Dave, the wonder husband, is going to put it all back together and reinforce it with steel brackets. I'm going to start with the new upholstery. I just looked at my fabric again. I'm still very much in love with it.

Seriously, Julie.....just because you showed us step-by-step with the chair doesn't mean we aren't interested in the steps for the sofa. Please share them with us. It's such a huge project and it will always be out here in blogland for reference if any of us get brave enough to try it!
Good for you Julie, it will be another (gorgeous) staple piece for your family to enjoy!
Did you show us the fabric and I somehow missed it? I'd love to see it, if you haven't.
I wish you lived next door to me so I could learn some of this stuff firsthand.
=)
What PJ said, minus the I might actually do it myself. Yeah for wonderhusband! I like him already.
