Cuckoo Cottage Embroidery

I want to try some stumpwork embroidery, with some of the stitches standing up off of the ground fabric. I've chosen a happy cottage scene with two hugging women for my subject. I took a rough sketch and then tried to simplify it because I want my embroidery to have a happy, folky kind of feel. At the bottom, I started the sky in brick stitch and the trees in bullion knots.This embroidery is not finished, but you can see the rest of the embroidery I have available in the Hand Embroidery Section of My Good Babushka Art, Needlework and Jewelry
