Long Golden Cardigan

I've rustled up a vintage pattern that featured the look of cabling, but is not true cabling. I've reworked it into a long cardigan. I'm going to give it pockets, I think. Here I've finished the back. All my work is handmade, one of a kind. You can see my selection of cardigans available in the Cardigans and Sweaters section of My Good Babushka. Green Cabled Cardigan is Finished!

Inspired by the classic cardigan patterns of the fifties and sixties, this is a stylish, traditional cabled cardigan to fit a 44"-46" chest. Hand knit in easy care worsted weight acrylic yarn so it can be machine washed and dried. 28" long from the top to the bottom hem, sleeves are also 28" long. Features include very nice cable pattern on the fronts, back and the side of each sleeve, two set-in front pockets 6" deep, and lovely new etched wooden buttons. You can see more pictures of this handsome sweater HERE at My Good Babushka.

Men's Green Cabled Cardigan

Almost finished! I'm just waiting for the buttons. I've ordered some really nice wooden buttons to finish this sweater. You can see that I've marked the position for the buttons. I've folded it over so you can see the pretty cable pattern is also on the back. This is a men's cardigan 42" across the chest.

Green Cabled Cardigan

I've finished the fronts and sewed them to the back. As you can see, there is no button band! The pattern has me knitting it separately and sewing it in place. Yuck! Next time, I will knit it as part of the fronts. No need to add more sewing, that's the least fun part. I've also started a sleeve which will feature the same pretty cables.

Green Cabled Cardigan

The right front is finished and here I am working up the left side, almost ready to knit in the second pocket lining.

Brown Cabled Scarf

I had some yarn leftover from my shawl collar cardigan so I am making a Christmas present for my son's teacher. I am also thinking of adding a nice soap, perhaps from this place- The Man Cave- because their soaps sound really smellicious and they are from nearby Washington, Pa.

Purple Cabled Sweater- Stolen!

I found some pics on my camera of a little purple sweater I knitted. I was going to put it in my etsy shop, but my youngest usurped it. When it was finished, he hugged it and took it up to his room. I guess I'll have to knit something else!
