Making Cloaks for Gentlemen

Okay, so the line commonly goes- "weaving coats for gentlemen" but I've tweaked it just a bit. There are so many versions it hardly matters. Cloaks are more mysterious, and mysterious or shameful things must be cloaked. Here is the very rough sketch I'll be working from. I don't know how much I should give away! I'll keep mum and you can learn the narrative as the painting progresses.

I'm glad you've chosen to monotone-ise the profile pic..it looks great!! The three figures in this sketch look like they're about something innocent..but something sinister is afoot!

Yes, the black and white hides myriad flaws! Sinister?! We'll see...

Something is certainly afoot here...but I can't quite tell what it is yet. The cloak, acting as a veil, conceals the mystery and ritual of the figures present. It is almost, if you will forgive the abstract nature of my thoughts, if they were to dine upon the central character; feasting on his raw materials in order to fill themselves with inspiration.

My psycho-babble asides, a most pleasing first visit has been had to your blog. I look forward to making it a regular thing. I shall provide a link to the good House of Kewpie within my own lil' cyberspace.

Cheers for now.

Thank you for coming by, David! I'm glad you did. You can't have enough psychobabble, I always say.

I've been wearing a lot of scarfs lately. I guess that could progress towards wearing a cloak. God knows I could use a bit more mystery in my persona.
