Skinny Minnie on Windy Wash Day
I had so many interruptions while I was working on this painting, but I've finally reached a place where I can be satisfied with it. I like the loose, flat, brushy white areas contrasting with the tighter painting on the face of the vintage young lady. Her name isn't really Minnie. She's my aunt and her name is Dolores. This picture was taken in the mid-forties. There was nothing wrong with her, she was just really, really skinny.

I remember those far away years when I, too, was called skinnie minnie...and/or beanpole...depending on the name caller!
No one has ever called ME skinny mini. Sigh. But my Dad used to call me "tiny". I think it's great that you could capture an old family photo like that! I hear you're pretty good at that ;-)
Don't know what your April plans are, but I invite you to join the Blogging from A-Z challenge. All kinds of blogs may participate. It does have a high concentration of writers, but plenty of other styles, too.

I'm glad to learn this is a real person. I'll never know what it's like to have skinny legs. Mine are chunky German ones.
