Bithiae, the Witches

Original 8" x 10" acrylic painting on thick, acid-free paper. The Bithiae. Witches with two pupils in each eye. Imagined here as Renaissance maidens attacking and ripping the throat out of a deer. This painting and others like it at My Good Babushka.

Bithiae, The Witches

Kind of a slow, not very good day of work as I sort out this dress. Also, there is not very good light today.

Bithiae, The Witches

Another day of progress on my witches.

Bithiae

The Bithiae are Scythian witches that supposedly have two pupils in each eye. My Bithiae look more like elegant Dutch Renaissance maidens, I know, but I'm using artistic license because I want it to be pretty.
