The Regrettable Contest of Noughts and Crosses, chapter 19
The Governor's voice rang out so clear, so resonant and plummy
while the Senator merely stood there making faces like a dummy.
The soaring rhetoric of Governor Cross was untouched by the fracas
and made the tongue-tied Senator look like a braying jackass.
