Purple Cabled Sweater

I have a few skeins of this purple yarn. I am making a cabled sweater size 2-3. I was inspired by a vintage pattern. I like the simple look of vintage knits, but I didn't take the pattern directly. I found the pattern to be incorrect! I guess there were typos even in the fifties! But I took a look at the picture and got the gist of it, so I wrote little instructions for myself, for this simple cabled sweater. This is the back.

Matthew really liked the color of this yarn and I was going to make something for him, but I just didn't have enough purple yarn! I promised to make him something else, later.

Purple is one of my new favorite colors. I like the pattern you achieved with this. You are so multi-talented!

Oh how I wish I could knit more than a scarf. I know the basic of all basics but this is gorgeous.

You are so talented. I love how you use vintage patterns, and absolutely envy your ability to make them your own :) The color is terrific, too!

I never did all that you do when I had small kids. I marvel at how much you get done. Love the look of this sweater.
