The Three Anatomists



I spent a very brief time on my Three Anatomists painting. This will be doctor number one. I need to get this paper mounted on a board, though. It is very hard to paint on paper, even when it's gessoed. It gets too warpy.

Bentleyville Day 8






I've almost got half of the portraits done! There is something very satisfying, for me, about portraiture. There is nothing that can be so interesting in so many different ways as a human face, and the gesture of a hand.

Bentleyville Day 7





I found out a little bit more about this picture. It was taken in the mid-forties. It is my grandfather with his PNA bowling league at the Polish Club. It hung on the wall at the club for many years, then my grandmother had it amongst her photographs. Now I have it. I'm trying not to get paint on it!
