Painting in progress of ladies having a night out circa 1962. I'm still muddling around with this tablecloth, but I better decide what I'm going to do with it pretty soon.

An original painting in progress based on a vintage photo. I'm using my favorite palette of reds, greens and ochers. I enjoy making up the little faces of my cast of characters. The source photo, in this case, is very small and overexposed, so I have a lot of room to invent what I want.

I'm happy to be back to blogging after my long winters nap. I'm excited about the new projects I've been thinking about and can't wait to get started!

First, I'd like to finish up some old business. These are some pictures of an embroidery project that I started before we moved.
