They Might Be Giants. Day of the Dead. Jacobean Hand Embroidery
How our hand embroidered pillow looks now that I've got it all put together. It looks very much at home on our green velvety mid-century rocker next to my hand knit red lace shawl. It's a nice corner for reading, or just thinking things over.

Some Embroidery
I made this little embroidered pillow, and even crocheted the lace around it. I don't think I will sell it, though, as it is a little wonky looking. I'll keep it for myself. You can see some Hand Embroidered Art that passes muster at My Good Babushka. It's back to the drawing board for me.

Some Knitting and Embroidery
I'm making another long, mock-cable cardigan. This time in the color "oatmeal" and a little bit larger than the last one.
Finished up my Sheela Na Gig embroidered pillow, too. All my hand embroidered works are one of a kind pieces, and I never use a machine in any part of the project, all hand sewn. You can find my Sheela Na Gig Pillow at My Good Babushka

Sheela Na Gig Embroidery
Some churches in the British Isles are decorated with Sheela-na-gigs, stone carvings of old women with exaggerated genitalia. It is theorized that these were symbols for warding off evil. I am making a Sheela-na-gig embroidery. It will probably be a pillow. I'm embellishing around it with a floral motif, sort of kalocsa or Hungarian folk embroidery inspired.

Slender Pillow
My son asked me to make him a Slender Man pillow, so I did. I was excited when I learned there's a new boogeyman in town! There's always room for more.
