Red and Yellow Striped Cardigan in Progress. Cotton Cardigan

Here is the first sleeve! This cardigan is taking a long time. I've been knitting in the evening, but I get so tired!

Stripey Cardigan in Red and Gold

I am making a stripey cardigan, it is in ribbing stitch throughout. There is the back, finished. Now I'm working on the left front and trying to decide what kind of collar to make, probably it will be a shawl collar. I like those. This is in sport weight cotton. Even though this cardigan is not finished, you can see some finished hand knit cardigans at My Good Babushka. Knitting, Art. Chainmail Jewelry

I'm Keeping It

I finished this cozy cotton cardigan in a pretty autumn blaze color. It has pretty vintage wooden buttons. Normally, I would put it up for sale in my Etsy shop, but it fits me so well, I think I'll keep it. I have rationalized this by saying that when people comment on my cardigan and ask me where I got it, I can give them my business card, which I can conveniently stow in either of the front pockets. See, it's a PR move, not selfish at all.

Autumn Blaze Cardigan

My cotton cardigan continues. I seem to be missing a picture of the finished fronts, but here I am half way up the right front, and there is the beginning of a sleeve.

Blue Bunny and Red Sweater

Some needlework for today. A rabbit embroidery in blue, and the left front of a cardigan in progress. This is in cotton, my first cardigan in cotton. It feels wonderfully soft.

Autumn Blaze Cardigan

Thanks to Knitpicks, and their awesome full bag sale, I am making another cardigan, this time with cotton yarn. I've never used cotton before. It's pretty stretchy. In the top picture, you can see the back, half finished. In the bottom picture, you can see the front left. I've put in a pocket and the stitches that will be made into the pocket hem are on the holder. This will be a woman's cardigan.

I'd also like to add, Happy Birthday to me! I'm 39 today.

Howling Rabbit and Dragon Embroidery

Here is a custom embroidery I'm working on of a little bronze rabbit howling at the moon, surrounded by flowers, of course.
And I've finally finished both dragon pillows. Red and blue dragon pillows, entirely hand embroidered on the front, about 12" square.

I've turned the corner....

... but I'm STILL knitting the lace on the edge of this *%@$#! shawl!

Two New Knitting Projects

On top is an afghan I'm making with pink/rose yarn. It's pretty simple k3, p2, etc. I like that it is thick and useful and warm. Sometimes you don't want a lacy blanket.

On the bottom is my lacy red shawl. It's knitting up very slowly. It's very thin yarn. I'm only just coming to the end of one skein and I have two more to go.

Red Velvet Cat's Paw Shawl

That's my tentative name for this piece I'm making from some very fine baby alpaca yarn I bought last year. I finally decided I should try to make something out of it. It's been so long since I worked with such skinny yarn, I feel like my fingers are too fat to knit it.
