The Merrow. Mermaid

Merrow is the Irish folklore term for a mermaid. I've decided to put her in a dark little pool.

Giant Squid Battles Ship at Sea

I made a larger version of my Giant Squid Battles Ship at Sea for a custom painting. The original, small fresco with a hand made chainmaille frame is still available, Giant Squid Battles Ship at Sea at My Good Babushka.

Giant Squid Battles Ship at Sea

I was asked to do a reprise of my Giant Squid Battles Ship at Sea, which I have painted as a miniature fresco, and my husband provided a pretty chainmaille frame for an extra cute nautical touch. This one is a custom made 8" x 10" acrylic on stretched canvas.

If you have any custom requests, inquire at My Good Babushka.

Sea Monster Embroidery

I'm working on a sea monster embroidery. I first made a Seafarer Painting  and I liked my anthropomorphic fishy guy so much I decided to make him again in embroidery. You can see my one of a kind hand embroidered art pieces in the Hand Embroidered Art section of My Good Babushka. Needework, Art, and Chainmaille Jewerly

Sea Monster Embroidery

I've been enchanted by my little anthropomorphic sea creature that I invented for the artwork Seafarer. I've decided to reprise the theme for this hand embroidered artwork. I've just begun to fill in the sky with long and short stitches here. An economical version of the Seafarer painting is available as the Seafarer Print. Or if more hand embroidery is what you like, you can check out my finished Hand Embroidered Artwork at My Good Babushka. Art, Chainmail, Needlework

The Barghest

Original painting 8" x 10" acrylic on acid free paper. The Barghest is the name of the monstrous black ghost dog who roams the north of England. This painting is my take on the black, chain rattling beastie. Here he is being taken for a walk on the windy moors by a ghostly Victorian boy in purple velvet.

More about this painting Here at My Good Babushka.

The Barghest

Painting in progress of the Barghest, the Great Black Dog Fiend, a specimen of ghostly cryptozoology that roams the night in it's native land, northern England. My Dog Fiend is going for a walk with it's ghostly keeper in velvety violet Victorian garb.
