Scarf and Hat

A scarf and hat in evergreen colored wool that I made for my youngest son. I am trying to use up some leftover yarn before I start another a big project.

Pretty New Scarf at My Good Babushka

Here is a picture of the sunset from my upstairs landing window. Very pretty.
And here is a scarf I knitted. Very warm, knit in a tube so it will be two-ply for extra warmth and keep all the straggly ends of yarn on the inside. Part of the pattern is a traditional Scandinavian motif, and then I've added my own band of birds and hearts which seems a little Pennsylvania Dutch. Click Here to see more pictures of the finished scarf at My Good Babushka!

Brown Scarf

I've finished my brown scarf and my husband is wearing it every day and extolling its virtues! It feels good to find a project for those odd balls of yarn. Maybe I'll get him to stand still for a picture next time.

Light and Dark Brown Scarf

The scarf I'm knitting for my husband gets a little longer. I really like this pattern. It's visually interesting, but it only uses two colors, and you don't have to start and stop yarns. They just carry along on the inside of the tube. Easy Peasy.

Scarf!

I made a scarf with some leftover bits. I knitted it in a tube, which I think is a superior way to make a scarf, no rolling up on the edges, extra thick and warm. You can see the finished scarf at my etsy site. Roses and Cocoa Striped Scarf. It has a happy fringe!

Waste Not, Want Not

I'm making a scarf out of all of my yarn leftovers. This is knitted round and and round in a tube to make it nice and warm and 2-ply. It won't curl up on the edges either. It is a superior scarf design.

Brown Cabled Scarf

I had some yarn leftover from my shawl collar cardigan so I am making a Christmas present for my son's teacher. I am also thinking of adding a nice soap, perhaps from this place- The Man Cave- because their soaps sound really smellicious and they are from nearby Washington, Pa.
