Two Tone Cardigan

I've marked the position for the buttons and sewn the fronts to the back. Moving right along. I will start the brown sleeves next.

More progress on the left front. And how it looks against the solid brown back.

Sweater Deja Vu

I know, I just made a brown cardigan, but I'm making another one. I think this one will have another color, too. Probably green.

Here is it, just wanting buttons. And here is how the finished sweater looks with Italian brass buttons! Very nice. You can see this sweater here or peruse others at My Good Babushka.

Brown Shawl Collar Cardigan

I am starting the sleeve of my cardigan.
Here I am almost done with the second sleeve.
I have sewn in the pockets, sewn down the pocket hems, knitted the collar together and marked the position for the buttons. Did I mention I hate the sewing part? I really do. I hate the sewing part.

Brown Shawl Collar Cardigan

There are two pocket linings waiting on a holder, and I've started working up the left front.
Here is the left front, you can see it has a nice shawl collar. I haven't marked the position of the buttons or put the ribbing at the top of the pocket opening yet. I won't have a post for Christmas, but I'll be back on the next day. Have a happy holiday!

Coffee Break

Cute painting of a happy coffee pot dousing some equally happy cups with some of that fine, life-giving elixir, or I guess you could pretend it's tea. You can see the finished painting here at My Good Babushka.

Soup

I've decided to indulge my love for vintage cookbooks and their kooky graphics. Here is a jaunty parade of soup cans. Soup on Etsy by My Good Babushka.

Brown Scarf

I've finished my brown scarf and my husband is wearing it every day and extolling its virtues! It feels good to find a project for those odd balls of yarn. Maybe I'll get him to stand still for a picture next time.

Light and Dark Brown Scarf

The scarf I'm knitting for my husband gets a little longer. I really like this pattern. It's visually interesting, but it only uses two colors, and you don't have to start and stop yarns. They just carry along on the inside of the tube. Easy Peasy.

Scarf!

I made a scarf with some leftover bits. I knitted it in a tube, which I think is a superior way to make a scarf, no rolling up on the edges, extra thick and warm. You can see the finished scarf at my etsy site. Roses and Cocoa Striped Scarf. It has a happy fringe!

Waste Not, Want Not

I'm making a scarf out of all of my yarn leftovers. This is knitted round and and round in a tube to make it nice and warm and 2-ply. It won't curl up on the edges either. It is a superior scarf design.

Mens Shawl Collar Cardigan

I am in love with this piece! Really rich chestnut brown sport weight wool hand knitted into a retro-styled mens shawl collar cardigan. This sweater will fit a chest size 44"-46", the sleeves are 22", and from shoulder to bottom edge measures 24". I bought special vintage buttons for the perfect finishing touch. This sweater also has two very generous front pockets. It is a luscious sweater that looks really really good, too. Available for purchase here- Sweater at My Good Babushka!

Brown Cabled Scarf

I had some yarn leftover from my shawl collar cardigan so I am making a Christmas present for my son's teacher. I am also thinking of adding a nice soap, perhaps from this place- The Man Cave- because their soaps sound really smellicious and they are from nearby Washington, Pa.
